Berries may clear Amyloid, to help fight Alzheimer's Disease

FRESH BLUEBERRIES

Since my Mom passed away with Alzheimer's 5 years ago, I've become more aware of what I eat.

Many things help to eliminate the "amyloid beta protein tangles" that build in the brain  as we age and contribute to the occurrence of Alzheimer's or dementia

In a recent animal study it was noted that all berries are beneficial but Blueberries and Strawberries were the best.

Dr. Shibu Poulose concluded "After 30 days on the same berry diet, test animals saw significant benefits to diets with both of the berries, and speculate it is due to the phytonutrients present."

Researchers determined that flavonoids from the berries promote autophagy, the brain's natural housekeeping mechanism, and thereby reduces the toxic accumulation of protein clumps most frequently seen in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease cases.  Learn more from this article...

Though some of the scientific language may be confusing, it's clear that Berries are good for the brain, and especially strawberries and blueberries. Berries lower inflammation and help to keep a good cognitive function longer.
